In this video we show how easily the PLC emulator S7-PLCSIM Advanced can be used to control digital twins with the simulation software twin. For a virtual commissioning it is important to test every part of the control program, including the safety blocks. S7-PLCSIM Advanced allows the complete control program to be loaded into a virtual PLC. The simulation software twin provides an interface for connecting to it easily. The inputs of the PLC can be linked to the virtual sensors, and the outputs of the PLC drive virtual actuators. Testing control software with software-in-the-loop simulation has never been this easy!
